Jessica at Sellers Services located in Rochester, Indiana shared her personal experience with iCREWtek and how it has changed the way they do business.

— How long has your company been using iCREWtek?

About 1 1/2 years

— What made your company want to use iCREWtek?

The appeal was how accurately we could track production crews times eliminating using estimated times crew members were on a property. From the administration end being able to cut down on overhead time entering paper work orders would be a huge benefit.

— How many crews utilize iCREWtek during your busiest season?

We have 7 crews utilizing in 3 departments.

— Do you utilize iCREWtek for all services your company provides?  Explain.

Last season we did not use iCREWtek for our hardscape construction install crews. Last season was our first season implementing iCREWtek to our maintenance, irrigation, and fertilizing divisions so it was our trial season. We have used iCREWtek this year with our snow crews which has been a great benefit in tracking times and eliminating their paperwork. We are implementing iCREWtek with our hardscape construction install crews this year!

— What is your favorite feature of iCREWtek?

My personal favorite feature is in Schedule Manager, where I am able to see where crews are and what properties they have already serviced that day in real time. Most of the properties we service are our clients vacation homes so they are not in the area and frequently call to see if there services have been performed for that day. Before iCREWtek I would have to call the supervisor, who would then call the crew member, then the supervisor would return my call, and last I would have to return the call to the client. Now I can simply look in Schedule Manager and give the answer right then.

— How has your company benefited from iCREWtek?

The greatest benefit we have found from iCREWtek is the accuracy of tracking crew member times on the property. This has also helped in holding crew members accountable for their man hours and how productive their time is being spend throughout the day. When used correctly iCREWtek greatly reduces the amount of administration overhead cost. I had some crews that their paperwork would take around 30 minutes to enter. Now that crews paperwork can be entered in a matter of minutes due to all of the data already being input into the system.

— Would you recommend using this tool to other companies, and why?

I highly recommend using iCREWtek to everyone. The most obvious benefit is the reduction of overhead time by either the production crew or administration. The benefits of having accurate data already entered into the system along with time stamped (as well as location stamped) information can help in various situations.
