As a child, I was tasked with summer chores like weeding the rose garden, and helping to plant and harvest the vegetable garden. These childhood “chores” evolved into something I enjoyed. I have a passion for being outside, whether it is getting my hands dirty gardening, coaching and watching sports, or being on the Chesapeake Bay. Outdoors is where I would prefer to be. So, when the opportunity to work for a high-end residential design/build company presented itself, it seemed a good fit. I never imagined that almost 25 years later I would still be working in the landscape industry. I feel fortunate to have worked for Include for the past 20+ years. I wake up every day and do something that I truly enjoy, and with people I honestly like being around. I travel quite extensively to industry events to stay current on the changing needs of the landscape industry. Learning from our clients, consultants, and peers is also a focus of mine; I want to know what they need to help their businesses grow and thrive. This valuable information is used to help build and improve the software and services Include provides. I personally get great satisfaction knowing that what Include Software does as a team is unmatched in our industry. We provide leading edge software with top-notch customer service, and make a positive impact on people and their businesses every single day.

iCalibrate Peer Groups for Asset Users: Your Landscape Company's Key to Maximizing Success

Posted by Nanette Seven, Vice President on Aug 13, 2019 7:00:00 AM

Industry shows and events like GIE+EXPO are breeding grounds for great ideas. Not too long ago, a great idea materialized amongst our clients while chatting at a show.

The idea was peer groups.

While this is certainly not a brand-new concept, our users were saying that they could foresee some exciting possibilities from forming Asset-specific peer groups.  Although Asset users have always benefited from networking opportunities in which they could discuss ideas and troubleshoot problems with real-life users—this has previously been done in an informal way.

Asset users have been requesting a more structured peer group program in which the focus could be built upon using Asset’s capabilities to the fullest.

From these ideas and discussions, iCalibrate Peer Groups was born—peer groups focused on “calibrating” landscape businesses with the assistance of data and key performance indicators from Asset.

Amy Foley got her first experience with Include Software as a user. Having worked for a Chicago-based landscape company for 14 years, she was a leader in that company’s implementation of Asset, their landscape business software. Upon leaving that position and moving to South Florida with her husband, it was serendipitous—and exciting—to ultimately land a position with the software company she had loved so much as one of their clients.

Up Close with Ashley Yount: Solving Problems & Loving Life

Posted by Nanette Seven, Vice President on Oct 25, 2018 7:03:00 AM

As an accounting major, Ashley Yount says that she got her start “diving into the books” and immersed with numbers. That’s what most people think of when they think of an accounting role—but Yount says she quickly learned that it wasn’t entirely fulfilling for her. She was always great at connecting with people and she also had some IT experience. A position working in the government sector, assisting with implementing, training, and consultation of accounting systems, was the perfect marriage of all her skills.

But she still felt something was missing.

When Yount came to work for Include Software, she says she felt she’d finally found her “place.” Serving clients of the landscaping industry has been a “refreshing change” from working within the government sector. Yount says that she’s inspired by the passion and the excitement of landscape industry business folks and she thoroughly enjoys the opportunity to work with them daily.

When it comes to collecting data, Asset landscaping business software is a class above. In fact, it collects so much data that you might not even know what to do with it all. If you were to take all of the raw data that Asset has collected for your business, it would seemingly go on forever. While this is incredibly helpful for your business, you likely also want a way to analyze that data more easily and turn it into something actionable.

So, how do you take all of that great data the software has collected and process it in a way that is both understandable and actionable? While it’s true that Asset can generate reports, we’ve found that our customers want something more. They’re looking for an analysis tool that will give them even more insight into what their data means.
